The Greenville Moose Mystery Bus Trip

The date: October 16, 2010.
The event: The Greenville Moose Mystery Bus Trip.
The destination: Parts Unknown.

What a blast!

Thirty-some Moose members boarded the bus and pulled out of the parking lot at 10:30 a.m.

First stop: Sparta Moose Lodge, the largest Moose Lodge in the area. With their own golf course, gorgeous clubhouse, and nice atmosphere, it was a great start to the day. Other highlights included a purse repaired with duct tape, and a scavenger hunt with some interesting stick figures made from straws.
Second stop: Reed City. An equally great lodge in it’s own right, I will forever remember sitting on the deck out back with a beverage and looking over their beautifully landscaped back yard, complete with a river winding through it. Awesome!
Next up: A trip over to Evart, where I got to practice my pumpkin balancing skills. (see photo) The highlight of this stop was the electric train that runs around the outer wall, near the ceiling, on a regular basis. Also was the FOOD! A big thanks to their lodge for the spread of food they put out for us. It was well timed, and yes, yummy!
Stop #4: Harrison! Harrison was a HUGE lodge. Highlights included Cindy meeting Troy #2, and an older couple who wandered onto the bus. For a moment, I thought they were coming with us!
Last stop: Clare! Clare was a friendly lodge (from what I can remember.)

This whole day and the whole trip was fun. Several Greenville Moose Members were very successful with the charity game tickets.
Last but not least, new friendships were made.
If it weren’t for the Moose, I wouldn’t have met the great people I did.
